Stadium: Wembley Stadium – Att: 83.222
Match: Premier League 10. February 2018. Tottenham Hotspurs – Arsenal 1-0 (0-0) Goal: Harry Kane
The first and probably only league match ever played between the two sides at Wembley, saw a Premier League attendance record of more than 83.000. The North London derby is always something special and this one was not do dissapoint. Great passion, atmosphere and a high tempo game. The first half was more about intensity than quality, and both sides struggled to create any clear cut chances. After the break, Spurs really stepped it up. Just four minutes played, when Harry Kane rose above Koscielny and headed Spurs in front.
After that Tottenham started dominating the match. The hometeam created a lot of good chances and only a terrific Peter Cech and som bad luck, denied them going further ahead. The difference of class of the two teams where almost shocking. Spurs were almost punished though, when Arsenal carved out a couple of chances in the dying seconds. Tottenham held on, and took a well deserved victory in the first league North London derby at Wembley
