Sogndal is a small town of just about 4000 inhabitants, it is beautiful located on the northern shores of Sogndalsfjorden, a side arm of the great Sognefjorden. This is a place with a lot of football history and despite the size of the place, Sogndal has always been a force in Norwegian football. It is also the main club in the former Sogn og Fjordane county. Fosshaugane Campus is definitely one of the best stadiums in Norway. The ground is compact, with stands on all four sides. And perfectly sized for a club like Sogndal.

I went to the stunning Sogndal to see my club FK Jerv fight for vital points. Late in the season and Sogndal found themselves comfortably in the middle of the table, but not too much to play for. Something that was reflected in a low attendance For Jerv they fought hard for promotion. The match was even and in the end a draw was probably a fair result.
